My name is Benjamin Sjöstrand and I am studying computer science at Uppsala University. I bring several years of leadership experience from IKEA combined with a strong interest in software development, distributed systems, and building technology with real impact. I am looking for opportunities as a Full Stack Developer, where I can combine my experience in both frontend and backend to deliver the best possible user experience.

Alongside my studies, I work as a Goods Flow Out Team Leader at IKEA, where I am responsible for operational results, KPI-driven improvements, succession planning, and personal development. At my highest level of responsibility, I led a team of 18 people. I have previously held the roles of Customer Relations Operational Leader and Senior Implementation Leader, where I contributed to the global rollout of IKEA's new transport system, developed training materials, and helped train over 5,000 co-workers worldwide. These roles have strengthened my ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborate across disciplines, and take full ownership of results in fast-paced, high-performance environments.

From my studies, I bring a strong technical foundation in algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, and object-oriented programming, with hands-on experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, C, Git, HTML, and CSS. I have also further developed the EduTrack project (www.rosenbergab.com), where I worked on functionality, system architecture, and parts of DevOps. That project deepened my interest in building scalable, well-architected systems.

Outside of work and studies, I serve as chairman of Uppsala Roundnet Club, where I am responsible for board governance, budget, long-term strategy, and organisational development. This has further strengthened my leadership, communication, and decision-making. I also have a background in competitive dance, which taught me discipline, focus, and what it takes to perform at a high level.

I am a driven, curious, and collaborative person who fully commits to everything I take on. I thrive in team environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and always strive to grow both professionally and personally.
